Areas of Use
It is used in the production of products such as transparent objects, transparent sculptures, transparent handicraft products, transparent souvenirs and accessories, block-filling/imprisonment products by casting.
This resin is completely colorless.
It is not recommended to be used for coating purposes.
The complementary product to be purchased with the Transparent Cast Type Polyester Resin is the MEK-P freezer.
General Features
Use
Safety- When working with thermosetting resins such as polyester, vinylester, epoxy, work in a well-ventilated environment. Wear a mask if necessary. Be sure to use suitable gloves (For example: FABA Blue 404 Nitrile Gloves). Wear eye protection goggles.
Recommended Freezing Ratio- You should use a suitable "Freezer" (MEK-P) with a volume of 2 ml or a weight of 2 g for each 100 g of "Transparent Cast Type Polyester". Since the dosage is precise, it is recommended to use a scale such as a precision scale or kitchen scale. To add MEK-P, you can easily use an injector whose needle you have removed.
IMPORTANT: Polyester resins are exothermic, that is, they give off heat during curing. The temperature can be reached up to 120 oC momentarily. Therefore, when casting with polyester and other thermoset casting resins, cracks occur in high-volume castings due to the high heat generated. When casting in high volumes, layer-by-layer casting is generally recommended.
