Sorta Clear 18 Food Compatible Clear Mold Silicone

Sorta Clear 18 Food Grade Clear Molding Silicone are premium, transparent white silicones (platinum type) that cure at room temperature with very small shrinkage. This product requires a precision scale to measure the A + B sections. SORTA-Clear® 18; In addition to Shore 18A hardness, it has high tensile strength and breaking strength. ideal for making prototypes, jewelry, or other molds in any configuration where model visibility is important (such as cutting a model out of the mold).

Areas of Use

Materials such as urethane, epoxy or polyester resin can be poured into SORTA-Clear® silicone without the need for a release agent. Other materials such as wax and low melting metal alloys can also be poured into SORTA-Clear®. SORTA-Clear® can be colored with SILC Pig® silicone pigments.

SORTA Clear® 18 silicone is suitable for use with foodstuffs and can be used for many culinary applications, including casting chocolate and other confectionery.

IMPORTANT: Gently apply the release agent to all surfaces of the model with a soft brush to apply it thoroughly over the entire area. Then apply fine spray paint and let dry for 30 minutes. If you have doubts about the effectiveness of a Sealant/heart release additive combination, it is recommended that you do a small test run using the same surface that will be used in your project for testing.
