Cobalt Octoate is a violet-blue colored, low viscosity liquid and together with MEK Peroxide it helps to cure unsaturated polyester resin at room temperature conditions. It is generally found in concentrations ranging from 1% to 12%.

Accelerators are compounds that accelerate the curing reaction for polyester and vinylester resins.
