Epoxacast 690 UV Resistant Optical Clear Cast Type Epoxy Resin

Areas of Use

EpoxAcast® 690;  is a UV resistant, clear casting epoxy that can be used in applications requiring hard and clear results, such as making replacement glasses for jewelry/beads and model cars. EpoxAcast® 690 can be tinted with SO-Strong® hues.

EpoxAcast® 690;  is also ideal for making clear molds and prototype parts. Castings cure with very little shrinkage and become very hard and strong.

EpoxAcast® 690;  is also suitable for electronic assembly encapsulation applications where component identification is required. Recommended casting thickness maximum; 3/8 inch / 0.95 cm.

IMPORTANT: Gently apply the release agent to all surfaces of the model with a soft brush to apply it thoroughly over the entire area. Then apply a thin spray coat and let dry for 30 minutes.

Use

Measurement / Distribution - Correct mixing ratio; 100 parts by weight EpoxAcast® 690 resin to 30 parts hardener. To accurately weigh these ingredients, you must use an accurate scale (precision scale or triple arm scale). Do not measure components by volume.
