The

DURATEK 1200 System consists of a resin (DTE 1200) and four different hardeners. DTS 2110 is fast, DTS 1151 is medium, DTS 1155 is slow, and DTS 1110 is extra slow hardeners. The fastest hardener should be preferred in small / thin and / or fast production, while the extra slow hardener, on the contrary, should be preferred in the production of large / thick and / or time-consuming parts.

Since the system is suitable for applications requiring low viscosity such as infusion, RTM and L-RTM, it can drain on vertical surfaces when used in methods such as hand lay-up and vacuum bagging.

 

Use

The product, which is mixed as described in the previous section, is ready to use. The application environment should be 15 – 25oC, and the humidity in the environment should be at most 65%. It prolongs the curing time of the epoxy system in applications made with products stored in cold environments and / or in cold environments, the application quality of the material with increased viscosity decreases, stickiness may remain on the surface and "amine blushing" may occur. It should be noted that pot life and curing times will be shortened in hot environments.

It is important that the epoxy resin, fiber, environment and mold surface are at close temperatures. The surfaces to be applied must be free of impurities such as oil and dust and must be in a dry condition. However, if this surface is mold, care should be taken that the appropriate mold release agent is applied correctly.
